As usual, there's a lot I could say about each track (because they're all good), but the ones that stand out the most to me are Giorge Pettus for that Kashif influence on the track, SOS Band, the Five Star Philly Remix for Let Me Be The One, and EWF for the Brazilian Rhyme at the end. I would also be remiss in mentioning the supreme ears of Jeff Hinz (check out his Friday Night Dance Party) for Skipworth & Turner and Loose Ends, and Theresa for the Debra Laws track, All The Things I Love, which I had never heard before.

I'm a huge fan of Jam and Lewis, and really love Change's Change Of Heart. Turns out I wasn't the only one. Mr. Fresh absolutely loves this track also. Since Change was the first track. I thought it would be perfect to continue with another Jam and Lewis smash, SOS Band's The Finest (with accomanying vocals by Alexander O'Neal). Evelyn's wonderful I'm In Love is followed up with Carrie Lucas' severly underrated Show Me Where You're Coming From, by request from Mr. Fresh and blessings from G Fresh and Yvonne. I then follow it with one of Dynasty's best singles (and quite possibly my personal favorite) Here I Am.

I heard Rockie Robbin's An Act Of Love for the first time last week and I think I've played it every day so far. Thanks to the killer horn section, I thought it would be appropriate to ease on into Quincy's Razamatazz, with great vocals by Patti Austin. I follow with Light Of The World's Aspects. While I was planning my mix, DJ Diva, the mixtress of R&B, had this track as the leadoff single of one of her podcasts, so I had to make sure I included Just A Touch Of Love.

Larry Heard, aka Mr. Fingers, was clearly the first DJ that vibed me to house music, so I had to place the very first house track I ever purchased, What About This Love? I then follow up with my favorite track from Music Of My Mind, I Love Every Little Thing About You, with a nod from Mr. TGrundy of course. Michael Wycoff's track Love Makes Me Sing was a natural progression from Stevie, which then continues the vibe into Atlantic Starr's Love Me Down, with wonderful vocals by Sharon Bryant, and capping it off with Chaka's Tight Fit, thanks to Thierno.

5. Waiting For Your Love - Onda. Yeah. If I were to dance, which I don't (for fear of someone thinking I had spasms), I would definitely be grooving to this track. Mellow house. [Traxsource]
4. Yeah You - N.E.R.D. The album Seeing Sounds is growing on me. Played this song about 5 times today. Must be the horn section. And backgrounds. And percussion. And, well...everything. [Amazon]
3. I Love Every Little Thing About You - Stevie Wonder. Arguably the best track from Music Of My Mind. [Amazon]
2. Tight Fit - Chaka Khan. Not quite sure why this was on my mind. Oh yeah, I do. Her sister, Taka Boom, was also on this cut. Love the arrangements. From Destiny. [Amazon]
1. What's On Your Mind - Jimmy Abney. Return to Forever is one solid album and perfect for my mellow, downtempo vibe. [Dusty Groove America]

Sure Shot is one of the two tracks that were released by Tracy Weber shortly before her death. May she rest in peace. Surface's Stop Holdin' Back, released in 1983, is followed by one of my favorite tracks from Touch, Tingle. Ian Foster's Heaven is followed by Bobby Womack and Wilton Felter with Inherit The Wind. Rockie Robbin's track Time To Think is followed by a track from Switch entitled You're The One For Me.

Carrie Lucas' What's The Question, my favorite surprise so far this week, is followed by Alicia Myers, Atlantic Starr, and The Jacksons. I'm sure that most of the masses are familiar with Be Your Man, and quite possibly Xavier's Work That Sucker To Death, along with the vocalists on the track that should sound familiar. I then follow up with two tracks that were much more popular in England than they were here in the US (and that were unfamiliar to me until now)- Gary's Gang's Knock Me Out and Windjammer's Tossing and Turning. Oran 'Juice' Jones breaks through with another tune injected with humor, Rock The Night Away.

Debra Laws' On My Own (yet another solid track I was unfamiliar with) and Roy Ayers' Poo Poo La La is follwed by yet another solid track that didn't receive a lot of play, Knockin', from the On Target CD. Phyllis' When You Get Right Down To It and The Brothers Johnson's Strawberry Letter 23 is followed by Billy Ocean's Whatever Turns You On from Nights (Feel Like Getting Down). The Sylvers' Falling For Your Love, from Bizarre. We then end with a solid track - with a fantastic duet - from Switch II, Calling On All Girls. and Strawberry Letter 23.

I don't think I can say enough good things about this list. Starting out with Evelyn and continuing with Shalamar (where the vocals are equally distributed between Howard, Jody, and Jeffrey), I make a venture across the pond to drop a little Loose Ends and Cool Notes, which was a nice surprise (check out the video here). Cheryl's Instant Love and George's Shiver lead the way to an instrumental by The Brothers Johnson named Streetwave.

Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal's Saturday Love pave the way into Taka Boom's Love Bank and Damian Dame's Right Down To It. Sade's Keep Looking from Stronger Than Pride move us right into Even Though You're Gone by The Jacksons and Tonight's The Night For Love by Al Johnson.

The first track, Survivin', is from Joey Negro's Sunburst Band's new LP Movers and The Shakers. As I mentioned to a friend of mine, this may very well be a summer anthem of mine. As I am a longtime fan of Maysa and Incognito, this track is a much-anticipated release, and the video only underscores my love for this track.

Plantlife's Sumthin' About Her is one of the tracks from their second album, Time Traveller. As Voxefx stated, "Jamiroquai + Outkast + Jamie Lidell + Deelite sprinkled with Prince, Bootsy Collins, George Clinton and Rick James." Estelle's duet with Cee-Lo, Pretty Please (Love Me) is from her new LP, Shine, followed by one of my personal favorites so far this year, Perfect Sky by Reel People, with vocals by Joy Rose. Jimmy Abney's Hello is from his new CD Return to Forever, released off of Osunlade's Yoruba Records.

Lina's Feel The Love is another great track from her third album Morning Star, followed by trumpeter/DJ/vocalist Miles Bonny's Closer Love off of the EP of the same name. Duo Live's track, Summer Stacks features vocals by Angie Stone. Peter Hadar's Painted is the first single off of the upcoming album, Well Dressed for the Art Show which is available next month. Algebra's No Idea, is a single off of her current album Purpose. Lalah Hathaway's Breathe off her new LP, Self Portait, is followed by a solid track from a new artist from Toronto you should be on the lookout for, Jennie Laws. Two nice mellow tracks from Steve Arrington and Leo's Sunship lead the way to (Olivia) Lost And Turned Out from The Whispers and another track from Siedah's Kiss Of Life LP Groove Of Midnight. We then end this with Johnny, Luther, and ConFunkShun, three nice slow jams to end the blend.

There were several requests that floated by the past couple of weeks, so that made this lineup a bit easier this go-round. The GAP Band's Humpin' was a track that was brought to mind by Anewlis, so Why Leave Us Alone and The Glow Of Love were natural progressions to carry the groove forward. Junior's Not Tonight was a track that I hadn't heard in quite awhile, from his album Acquired Taste. Junior's track is followed by Central Line's Don't Tell Me, another one of their tracks played constantly both here and in the UK. Love X Love was one of the requests from Angelicastorm, who is celebrating her birthday this week.

After George Benson, Tom Browne's Secret Fantasy and Siedah Garrett's wonderful The Legend Of Ruby Diamond follow up nicely. Cherrelle's Home is the perfect segue to Papillon (Hot Butterfly) and The Invisible Man's Band's sought after track Along The Way from the album Really Wanna See You.

First Love's Things Are Not The Same Without You, yet another nice track, is followed up by The Sylver's PS (The Unfinished Letter) from Concept. Anita and Al close out the set with Feel The Need and We're In This Love Together, requested by both DarrenKeith Wyatt, who is celebrating his birthday this week as well, and Angelicastorm.

The blend is kicked off with tracks from the new CDs from Incognito (Step Aside) , Reel People (Anything You Wantwith vocals by Tasita D'mour), and Domu Presents Pete Simpson (Ain't No Fool). The next two tracks are from two people I've had the pleasure in meeting, Sy Smith and Lizz Fields, with tracks from their new CDs Conflict and Pleasureville respectivelly.

Poetiquette's Not Complaining is followed by Nicolay and Kay's Through The Wind. This brings us to NYC's hip hop trio Dream/Clone with Get Amped, a nice energetic track. The energy from Dream/Clone blends right into Late Night Mission, where Aaron Jerome and Yungun tell the story of a topsy turvy late night. The next two tracks put an electro spin on both hip hop and funk - Nathan Haines' Springtime Rain (accentuated with the flow of no other than Rich Medina) and Kissey Asplund's 6AM.

Things have been a little hectic, so this is going to be a little brief - I'll be able to add more a bit later. The two startup tracks from The Whatnauts and Central Line should sound familar to you, as they've been sampled by two quite popular hip-hop tracks. D'Influence's Phunky Times is a personal acid jazz fave of mine that I've used before and had to pull out of the crates again.

Twennynine's Rhythm is off of the album Just Like Dreamin' which was brought to my attention while going on a Lenny White rampage sometime ago. Bernard's After You, which took me some time to track down, is the track which follows his famous cut Who Do You Love? from the LP Mr. Wright. This blends into Garry Glenn's Got You On My Mind which I was pleasantly surprised to have heard after seeking a request from Strollin4Luv (much props for putting a bug in my ear).

Soul II Soul's instrumental Time from Volume II: A New Decade brings us into Don-E's Me, Oh My and Repercussion's splendid Turn Your Card, also from Earth and Heaven. I remember seeing Pride 'n Politix on BET's Video Soul as they were interviewed by Donnie Simpson. This prompted me to purchase the album Changes. Intimate Connection from Kleer brings us to Lalah's Smile, my personal favorite off of her debut CD. I then close with Mica's You Can Make A Wish and a track that I consider to be one of the hidden gems of Pebbles, Stay With Me off of her Always CD.

Let's see, where do I begin? Well, we start off with D'Influence's Changes, one of the tracks from the their initial release Good4We. That track grooves you right into Donald Byrd's Sister Love, from the 1973 album Street Lady. Brooklyn Funk Essentials' The Creator Has A Master Plan is a rendition of the original Pharoah Sanders track. It's followed by Carleen Anderson's Nervous Breakdown, which marked my official introduction into acid jazz. I tracked down Bob James' Nautilus after I heard the remake of the track from Nuyorican Soul (a very, very solid album).

Incognito's track I Love What You Do For Me is from Vibes, Tribes and Scribes, continuing on to James Taylor Quartet and Jhelisa's Whirl Keeps Turning from Galactica Rush. The Stylistics extended version of People Make The World Go Round (reintroduced by Zero 7's Anotherlatenight) leads the way into Repercussions' Test Of Time, another solid LP. Herbie's Chameleon is from the 1973 album Headhunters. After Herbie's track, the mix is then concluded by Loose Ends' Choose Me from A Little Spice.

Tom Browne and George Duke tracks were always staples in my home, so they're pretty much a given to start this off. GQ's Is It Cool? is one of my favorite tracks that was never released. Raw Silk's Do It To The Music gives the East Coast vibe, while Pleasure's Glide delivers from the West Coast.

Aquarian Dream, a band spearheaded by Normal Connors, delivers the great track, You're A Star, from their album Fantasy, Melba Moore also delivers with a mellow track from 1978, You Stepped Into My Life. Alexander O'Neal's (What Can I Say) To Make You Love Me (from Hearsay) is followed up with The Sylvers' Come Back Lover, Come Back (from Concept).

Cheryl Norton (also known as Cherrelle) delivers a track from the album Fragile with When You Look In My Eyes. One of my favorite tracks from Stevie (That Girl) is followed by one of great tracks from Garry Glenn, It's Love Again, from GG which was released in 1981. This is followed by some blue eyed soul from Steely Dan (Deacon Blues from Aja) and some funk groovin' from Bootsy (I'd Rather Be With You from Stretchin' Out In Bootsy's Rubber Band).
